Dallas Hunting and Fishing Club is a private club available exclusively to owners, their families and guests.
Incorporated in 1885 and continually operated for 135 years at its present site in Dallas county, it is the fourth oldest hunting and fishing club in the US. Over 10,000 years ago, the Trinity river changed its course leaving this amazing “oxbow lake” behind. First described in the Shelton Survey of 1850, as “a large lake” Gaston Lake is the oldest lake in North Texas and one of the very few natural lakes in the state. This beautiful 140 acre lake is supplied by Prairie Creek and flows into the 120 acre Trezevant Marsh and sloughs before terminating into the Trinity River.
